Embassy REIT to Join Nifty 500 and Nifty Midcap 150 Indices, Becoming Sole REIT in Midcap 150

Index Inclusion Effective September 30

After the revised index composition comes into effect on September 30, 2026, Embassy REIT will become the only real estate investment trust to be included in the Nifty Midcap 150 index. The trust is also being added to other key indices like Nifty Next 100 and Nifty LargeMidcap 250, alongside the primary benchmark inclusions.

Among other indices, Embassy REIT will also be included in the Nifty MidSmallcap 400 and Nifty Total Market. Its inclusion in the Nifty 500 will also extend to the Nifty500 Equal Weight, Nifty500 Multicap 50:25:25 and Nifty500 LargeMidSmall Equal-Cap Weighted indices.

Strategic Significance for Capital Markets

Being included in these major indices is expected to raise Embassy REIT's profile and attract more investment, especially from funds that track these lists. The trust expects its inclusion in the Nifty Midcap 150 index, which is tracked by multiple exchange-traded funds (ETFs) and index funds, to improve investor access.

Embassy REIT Chief Executive Officer Amit Shetty said the company is pleased to be included in the Nifty 500 and, notably, as the only REIT in the Nifty Midcap 150, alongside several other key NSE indices. Shetty said the inclusion would bring REITs further into the mainstream of India's capital markets and provide access to a broader pool of investors.
